Subi Reef ginawang paradahan ng China sa West Philippine Sea

METRO MANILA, Philippines — Kinumpirma ng Philippine Navy (PN) na nagsisilbi ng “anchoring hub” ng China ang Subi Reef sa West Philippine Sea (WPS).

Sinabi ito ni Navyy spokesman for WPS, Rear Admiral Roy Vincent Trinidad, base sa mga naunang ulat na may 80 Chinese vessels malapit sa Pagasa Island.

Ayon kay Trinidad, may panahon na umaabot hanggang 200 Chinese Maritime Militia (CMM) vessels ang nasa paligid ng reef.

Aniya karamihan sa mga naka-angkla sa paligid ng Subi Reef ay CMM vessels at mga Chinese Coast Guard (CCG)  at People’s Liberation Army Navy vessels ang nakahimpil sa paligid ng Ayungin Shoal.

Nagsagawa ang China ng mga reklamasyon sa Subi Reef simula noong 2014, kabilang sa kanilang naipatayo ay isang marine harbor.
