METRO MANILA, Philippines — Hiniling ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) sa Department of Budget and Management (DBM) na madagdagan ang quick response fund (QRF) nito para sa pagtugon sa mga kalamidad.

Sinabi ni DSWD spokesperson na si Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao umaasa ang ahensya na maibibigay ang hinihingi  pondo sa susunod na linggo.

Aniya dahil sa mga nagdaang kalamidad, nasa P107 milyon na lamang ang DSWD standby fund at maging ang halaga ng nakaimbak na relief goods.

Sabi pa ni Dumlao mayroon na lamang 1.3 milyong family food packs na nakaimbak sa ibat-ibang bahagi ng bansa.

Nangangailangan sila ng P875 milyon para sa relief operations sa mga naapektuhan ng mga bagyong Kristine, Leon at Marce at sa mga maaring kalamidad hanggang sa pagtatapos ng taon.
