METRO MANILA, Philippines — Nabawasan ang bilang ng Chinese vessels na nagkalat sa West Philippine Sea (WPS), ayon sa pahayag ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

Base sa monitoring ng AFP, mula noong ika-10 ng Setyembre hanggang kahapon, ika-16 ng Setyembre, may 157 barko ng China ang nasa ibat-ibang bahagi ng WPS.

Mas mababa ito sa naitalang 207 barko ng China mula ika-3 hanggang ika-9 ng Setyembre.

BASAHIN: Crew ng BRP Teresa Magbanua nabuhay sa lugaw, tubig ulan – PCG

Sa huling bilang, 123 ang Chinese maritime militia vessels, 26 ang China Coast Guard, pito ang barko ng China Liberation Army – Navy, at isang research vessel.

Ang mga ito ay nagbabantay sa Pagasa Island, Ayungin Shoal, Escoda Shoal, Lawak Island, at Panata Island.
