Utos ni DILG Sec. Sueno kay PNP Chief Dela Rosa: Unahin ang mga heneral sa lifestyle check
Inatasan ni Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Ismael Sueno si Philippine National Police chief Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa na simulan na ang lifestyle check sa mga opisyal ng PNP, at unahin ang mga police general.
Ayon kay Sueno, bilang public servants ay marapat na maging halimbawa ang sinumang opisyal ng ‘honesty, integrity and professionalism.’
Sakaling madiskubre na mayroong kwestiyunable at kaduda-dudang yaman ang mga police officers o iba pang opisyal habang aktibo sa serbisyo, sinabi ni Sueno na maraming dapat ipaliwanag hinggil dito.
Bukod sa lifestyle check, nag-isyu na rin ng direktiba si Sueno sa National Police Commission (Napolcom) na siyasatin ang umano’y criminal activities nina PNP Deputy Director General Marcelino Garbo, retired PNP Chief Supt. Vicente Loot, at tatlong aktibong police generals na sina Joel Pagdilao, Edgardo Tinio, at Bernardo Diaz.
Nauna nang naglunsad ang Napolcom ng imbestigasyon sa mga nabanggit na heneral ng PNP matapos pangalanan ni President Rodrigo Duterte bilang mga opisyal ng pambansang pulisya na sabit o may kaugnayan sa operasyon ng ilegal na droga.
Sinabi ni Sueno na sa oras na matapos ang imbestigasyon, agad nilang isusumite sa Office of the President ang report.
