Bamban Mayor Alice Guo sinuspindí ng Office of the Ombudsman
METRO MANILA, Philippines — Sinuspindí ng Office of the Ombudsman si Mayor Alice Guo ng Bamban, Tarlac, base sa reklamo ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
Inaprubahán noóng ika-31 ng Mayo ni Ombudsman Samuel Martires ang hilíng ng DILG na patawan ng preventive suspension si Guo, gayundín siná Edwin Ocampo, ang hepe ng Business Permit and Licensing Office ng Bamban, at si Adenn Sigua, ang municipal legal officer.
Inireklamo silá ng DILG ng grave misconduct, serious dishonesty, gross neglect of duty, at conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service.

Ibinase ang mga reklamo sa pagpayag ng pamahalaáng bayan na makapag-operate ang isang Philippine offshore gaming operator (POGO) hub sa Bamban.
Sinalakay noóng Marso ang POGO hub at nadiskubré ang mga sinasabing ilegal na mga aktibidád.
