Termino ng gov’t contractuals, JO’s pinalawig ni PBBM
Hanggang sa katapusan na ng taon ang termino ng lahat ng contract of service (COS) at job order (JO) workers sa gobyerno base sa direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
Ayon sa Presidential Communications Office (PCO) inilabas ni Marcos ang direktiba matapos makipagpulong sa Department of Budget and Management (DBM), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Civil Service Commission (CSC) at Commission on Audit (COA) kahapon.
Inatasan din ng Punong Ehekutibo ang mga ahensiya ng gobyerno na i-develop ang kakayahan at kapabilidad ng COS at JO workers para makapasa sila sa civil service examination at mabigyan ng plantilla positions.
Nais din niya na pag-aralan ng mga ahensiya ang kasalukuyang sitwasyon ng mga manggagawa sa gobyerno, kasama na ang COS at JOs.
“Pag-aralan natin, just look at the numbers, the data on average, government agencies. How many of their employees are contractual? How many items are in their plantilla proper are not filled? How many are contractual as a percentage of the total number of employees? Kasi the percentages are one of the most important. Then titingnan natin is average. It will] give us an idea how people are using the system,” aniya.
Una nang nagtapos ang bisa ng Joint Circular (JC) No. 1 s. 2017, noong Disyembre 31, 2018 at pinalawig na lamang nang pinalawig.
