Ipinagbawal muna ng Department of Migrant Workers ang pagpapadala ng Filipino seafarers sa mga barko na dumadaan ng Red Sea at Gulf of Aden.

Pansamantalang ipinagbawal ng Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) ang pagpapadala ng mga Filipino seafarers sa cruise at passenger ships na naglalayag sa Red Sea at sa Gulf of Aden.

Ipinalabas ni acting Migrant Workers Sec. Hans Leo Cacdac at Department Order No. 2 at aniya agad itong epektibo.

“The seafarers to be assigned to passenger/cruise ships are likewise required to affix their signatures to indicate their concurrence to the said affirmation letter, confirming knowledge that the vessel they will be boarding will not traverse the aforementioned WOAs (War-like Operations Areas),” ang nakasaad sa DO.
