DILG, DOTr at MMDA sanib-puwersa kontra colorum vehicles
Bumuo ng Joint Task Force ang Department of Transportation (DOTr), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) at Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) para tugisin ang colorum vehicles na bumibiyahe sa Metro Manila.
Ang Special Project Group ng pambansang pulisya ang magiging kinatawan ng DILG sa bagong tatag na task force.
Nabatid na may kapangyarihan ang mga miyembro ng joint task force na manghuli at mag-isyu ng tiket sa mga lalabag sa mga batas-trapiko.
Sinabi ni acting MMDA Chairman Don Artes na nagpasaklolo sila sa DILG sa pagpapatupad ng anti-colorum operations.
Aniya ginawa nilang pormal ang pag-uugnayan ng tatlong ahensiya para sa mas maayos na pagkasa ng mga operasyon.
“Sa pagsasanib-puwersa ng tatlong ahensiya, kasama ang PNP, mas mapapalawak pa ang operasyon kontra colorum. Asahan ninyo ang mas pinaigting na panghuhuli sa loob ng mas maikling panahon,” aniya.
Sinabi naman ni Sec. Benhur Abalos mula Marso 12 hanggang Abril 15 nakapag-impound na ang ang DILG-MMDA ng 100 colorum vehicles.
“This is an effective collaboration with the DILG, MMDA, DOTr, and the PNP. Given the number of apprehensions for just a period of one month, we can probably yield more than 1000 colorum vehicle apprehensions for a year,”sabi ng kalihim.
Nabatid na maaring pagmultahin ng P6,000 hanggang P1 milyon ang mga mahuhuli.
