Sinabi ni Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista na napunan na ang backlog noong nakaraang taon sa plastic driver’s licenses.
Ito ay dahil sa tinanggap na ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) ang karagdagang 600,000 plastic cards na bukod sa naunang isang milyon plastic cards.
Ayon pa kay Bautista sa susunod na buwan ay karagdagang 2.2 milyong plastic cards ang matatanggap ng LTO na ipamamahagi naman sa district at satellite offices ng ahensiya.
Magtutuloy-tuloy din sabi naman ni LTO chief Vigor Mendoza II ang renewal ng mga lisensiya noong Marso.
Magugunita noong nakaraang Marso 25, naipadala na sa LTO ang isang milyong plastic cards mula sa Banner Plasticard, na nasakop ng injunction order ng Court of Appeals.
