Amnesty program sa mga ex-rebels agad ipinakakasa ni PBBM

Nais ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., na agad maikasa ang amnesty program sa mga dating miyembro ng Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF).

Ito ay ayon kay National Security Adviser Secretary Eduardo Año at sinabi ito ni Marcos sa 5th National Task Force To End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) Executive Committee Meeting sa Malakanyang.

“The President has directed the immediate implementation of the Amnesty Program for the remaining members of the CPP-NPA-NDF since Congress has already concurred with the proclamation,” sabi ng nagsisilbing chairman ng NTF-ELCAC.

Dagdag pa ng opisyal, paunang 1,500 dating NPA rebels ang nagpahayag na ng kanilang interes sa programa.

Sinabi naman ni Presidential Adviser for Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity Sec. Carlito Galvez Jr., na inabisuhan na ang 17 regional amnesty boards para mag-proseso ng mga aplikasyon.

Aniya target nila na maikasa ang programa simula ngayon taon.
