Generally peaceful Holy Week sa Metro Manila – NCRPO
Ibinahagi ng National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) na naging mapayapa sa pangkalahatan ang naging paggunit ng Semana Santa sa Kalakhang Maynila.
Sinabi ni NCRPO director, Maj. Gen. Jose Nartatez Jr., na bunga ito ng kanilang inilatag na heightened security measures.
“The meticulous planning and proactive measures bore fruit as the region experienced a 30.42% decrease in crime rate throughout the Holy Week period compared to the week before,” aniya.
Dagdag pa ng opisyal, bunga na rin ito ng kanilang koordinasyon sa mga lokal na pamahalaan at iba pang kinauukulang ahensiya ng gobyerno.
Nagpakalat ang NCRPO ng 12,407 pulis sa mga pampublikong lugar, kasama na sa 295 simbahan, 90 pangunahing lansangan, 139 transport terminals /hubs, 1,092 commercial areas at 82 lugar ng pagtitipon.
