Tolentino: Dagdag Shari’ah Courts para sa pagbibigay hustisya sa mga Muslim
Makasaysayan na maituturing ang Senate Bill 2594 ni Senator Francis Tolentino na ang layon ay madagdagan ang Sharia Judicial Districts at Sharia Circuit Courts sa bansa.
Sa kanyang sponsorship speech, sinabi ni Tolentino na magbibigay daan ito para sa pagbibigay hustisya sa sa Fillipino Muslims at napakahalahga din aniya nito para mapalapit ang mga komunidad sa sistemang legal ng bansa.
Ayon kay Tolentino pinapangarap na ang lahat ng mga Filipino anuman ang relihiyon ay maging pantay-pantay sa sistemang pang-katarungan.
“This measure is a call for equal and inclusive justice. As Shari’a Courts are the embodiment of Islamic Justice, this measure, therefore, aims to provide Muslim Filipinos residing outside of existing Shari’ah Judicial Districts with accessible, equitable, and speedy justice,” sabi pa ni Tolentino.
Suportado ng Korte Suprema ang panukalang-batas ni Tolentino na pagpapakita ng kahalagahan nito.
Magbibigay din ito ng pag-asa sa mga Filipino Muslims kasabay ng paggunita ng Ramadan.
