“30-minute heat stroke break” ibinigay muli sa MMDA field personnel
Dahil unti-unti ng nararamdaman ang mataas na temperatura, simula sa darating na Marso 15 ay ipapatupad muli ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ang “30-minute heat stroke break” para sa kanilang mga field personnel.
Kasunod ito nang pagpirma ni acting MMDA Chairman Don Artes ng memorandum circular hinggil sa naturang polisiya na epektibo hanggang sa Mayo 31.
Sakop ng memorandum ang traffic enforcers, street sweepers at iba pang field personnel ng ahensiya.
“We must understand the plight of these traffic enforcers and street sweepers who work under the scorching heat of the sun every day to fulfill their duties and responsibilities,” aniya.
Nilinaw lamang din niya na hindi maaring sabay-sabay na mag-break ang kanilang mga tauhan.
Nakasaad sa polisiya na ang mga field personnel ay maaring sumilong sa lilim ng kalahating oras para maiwasan ang heat stroke.
Karagdagang 15 minuto ang ibinigay din sa kanilang break kapag ang heat index ay umabot na sa 40 degrees Celsius pataas.
