Napakahalaga  aniya na magpatuloy ang joint military exercises ng Pilipinas at Australia dahil marami itong magandang naidudulot.

Sa panayam kay Pangulong Marcos Jr., sa Melbourne, Australia sinabi nito na mas napapaghusay pa ang kapabilidad ng Pilipina sa “defense and security,”  maging sa paghahanda sa kalamidad.

“This will benefit the Philippines because we are conducting these exercises so that we are able to work together with our foreign partners. And when I say work together, it is not only for defense and security, it is also for disaster preparedness, disaster assistance that they might bring should there be a disaster,” aniya Marcos.

Paglilinaw na lamang din niya na nakadepende sa sitwasyon ang pagsWasagawa ng joint military exercises at nabanggit niya ang sitwasyon sa West Philippine Sea (WPS).

“And as to having yearly exercises, well, that’s probably something that we can discuss. But again, we will have to assess the situation at the time and if we need to continue these exercises, then I think we will be able to agree on that,”sabi pa nito.

Nabanggit din niya na napag-usapan nila ng ilang mga opisyal ng Australia ang pag-amyenda sa  Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA) sa pagitan ng dalawang bansa.
