NFA chief, 138 iba pa suspendido sa bentahan ng rice buffer stock
Suspendido simula bukas si National Food Authority (NFA) Administrator Roderico Bioco ar 138 pang opisyal at kawani ng ahensiya dahil sa nabunyag na pagbenta ng 75,000 sako ng rice buffer stock sa dalawang negosyante.
Pansamantala, pamumunuan muna ni Agriculture Sec. Francisco Tiu-Laurel ang NFA.
Aniya ang pagsuspindi kina Bioco ay base sa kautusan ng Ombudsman at tatagal ito ng anim na buwan habang iniimbestigahan ang naging bentahan na nagkakahalaga ng higit P90 milyon.
“The suspended NFA officials include administrator Roderico Bioco, assistant administrator for operations John Robert Hermano, and several regional managers and warehouse supervisors all over the Philippines,” sabi ni Tiu-Laurel.
Kasama sa mga nasuspindi ang 12 regional managers, 27 branch managers at 98 warehouse supervisors.
Aniya nakikipag-ugnayan sila sa Office of the Ombudsman sa pagsasagawa ng imbestigasyon.
“Kaisa ako ng Ombudsman sa layunin nitong alamin ang katotohanan at parusahan ang dapat maparusahan. (I’m one with the Ombudsman’s goal to know the truth.. I have been in contact with the Office of the Ombudsman ever since this controversy erupted,” aniya.
