P76M halaga ng marijuana isinilid sa balikbayan boxes galing Thailand
Nadiskubre ng mga ahente ng Bureau of Customs ang 63 kilos ng pinatuyong marijuana sa ilang balikbayan boxes mula sa Thailand.
Nagkakahalaga ng P76 milyon ang mga droga na idineklarang mga personal na gamit.
Isinagawa ng mga ahente ng Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (BOC-CIIS) ang inspeksyon base sa impormasyon mula sa CIIS-Manila International Container Port.
“Based on the information we received, the alert order was issued against this shipment because of the suspected presence of illegal drugs. We found around 12 kilos of marijuana per balikbayan box during the inspection,” ani BOC-CIIS Director Verne Enciso.
Nabatid na ang balikbayan boxes ay para sa isang residente ng Dasmariñas City sa Cavite.
Iniimbestigahan pa ang pagpupuslit ng mga droga para sa pagsasampa ng mga kinauukulang kaso.
