PBBM matigas sa pagharang sa ICC investigators sa Pilipinas
Hindi nagpatinag si Pangulong Marcos Jr., sa resulta ng OCTA Research survey na mayorya ng mga Filipino ang nais makipagtulungan ang gobyerno sa International Criminal Court (ICC).
Sinabi ni Marcos Jr., hindi nagbabago ang posisyon ng gobyerno at hindi papayagan na makapag-imbestiga ang ICC sa Pilipinas.
Hiningian ng reaksyon ang Punong Ehekutibo ukol sa OCTA survey kung saan 55 porsiyento ng mga Filipino ang pabor sa pakikipagtulungan sa ICC.
“It’s still those questions of jurisdiction and sovereignty. I haven’t yet seen a sufficient answer for it. Until then, I do not recognize their jurisdiction in the Philippines. I cannot, that seems to be the only logical conclusion that could come from that situation,” ani Marcos.
Paulit-ulit nang sinabi ni Marcos na walang hurisdiksyon ang ICC sa Pilipinas matapos ang pagtalikod sa Rome Statute noong 2019 base sa utos ni dating Pangulong Duterte.
Aniya maari naman makapasok sa bansa ang mga kinatawan ng ICC ngunit hindi para mag-imbestiga.
Layon ng ICC na maimbestigahan ang pagkamatay ng higit 6,000 katao sa “war on drugs” ng dating administrasyon.
