DTI, LGUs maglulunsad ng info drive kontra vape

Magsasanib puwersa ang Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) at Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines (ULAP) para paabutin hanggang sa mga barangay ang information campaign ukol sa mga masasamang epekto ng vape.
Makakatulong sa kampaniya ang mga lokal na opisyal at ang National Movement of Young Legislators (NMYL). Layon ng kampaniya na maiparating sa mga menor-de-edad gamit na rin ang digital platforms at social media. Tiniyak ni ULAP President at Quirino Gov. Dakila E. Cua ang suporta ng kanilang grupo para madagdagan ang kaalaman ukol sa mga masamang epekto sa paggamot ng vape lalo na sa murang edad. Sa bahagi naman ng DTI, pinaigting pa ang pagbabantay at mga operasyon sa mga lumalabag sa RA 11900 o ang “Vaporized Nicotine and Non-Nicotine Products Regulation Act gayundin ang Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) nito. Hanggang ngayon buwan, nakapagsilbi na ang kagawaran ng show cause order sa 269 tindahan at nadiskubre din na 62,738 online stores ang mga may paglabag. “If we engage the public at the grassroots level and raise awareness on the harmful effects of vape, especially on minors, we can also urge them to join us in ensuring full compliance with the Vape Law,” sabi ni Trade and Industry Sec.
