18 votes sa Senado para sa Charter change ipinaalala ni Hontiveros
Sa ngayon hindi pa nakakatiyak na makukuha ang 18 boto sa hanay ng mga senador para sa tinatalakay na “economic Charter change.”
Ito ang paniniwala ni Deputy Minority Leader Risa Hontiveros base sa kanyang mga obserbasyon sa mga kapwa senador, kasama na ang kabilang sa mayorya.
“Alalahanin po natin, kailangan nila ng three-fourths of the Senate para aprubahan ang RBH No.6. Ibig sabihin, kailangan nila mag-muster ng 18 votes. Ibig sabihin din, kailangan lamang namin ng pito para sagkaan ito. Ang pakiramdam ko lang po, na may mga kasama kami sa majority, base sa body language nila, na hindi rin ganap na sumusuporta sa Resolution of Both Houses No. 6,” aniya.
Sinabi nito na sa 24 senador, kinumpirma niya na silang dalawa ni Minority Leader Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III ay tutol sa pag-amyenda sa 1987 Constitution.
“Yung very confident o overconfident na sinabi nung simula ng RBH No.6 na, ‘Meron na kaming 18 that’s highly in doubt,” sabi pa ni Hontiveros.
Inihain ni Senate President Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri ang RBH No. 6, para amyendahan ang Articles XII, XIV and XVI ng 1987 Constitution at pumirma sa resolusyon sina Senate President Pro Tempore Loren Legarda at Sen. Sonny Angara.
