Inspeksyon sa mga bahay, gusali, imprastraktura ikakasa ng OCD
Inatasan ang mga kawani ng Office of Civil Defense (OCD) na magsagawa ng malawakang inspeksyon sa mga bahay, guslai at iba pang imprastraktura para madetermina ang integridad ng mga ito.
Sinabi ni OCD Administrator Ariel Nepomuceno ang hakbang ay bahagi ng paghahanda sa mga kalamidad sa bansa.
Bukod dito, ayon pa kay Nepomuceno, nais nilang matukoy ang mga kritikal na imprastraktura at pasilidad sa buong bansa.
“We asked our OCD regional directors to coordinate with relevant agencies regarding the list and integrity of critical facilities as well as to have an inventory of all disaster response assets. This is part of our continuous readiness assessment,” dagdag pa ng opisyal.
Binanggit din niya ang ipinalabas niyang memorandum alinsunod sa isang probisyon sa National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Plan (NDRRMP) 2020-2030 kung saan nakasaad ang pangangailangan na mapagtibay pa ang mga bahay, gusali at mga kritikal na imprastraktura.
“We need those data as we further identify and plan for the implementation of necessary interventions and strategies. The role of our regional disaster managers from various government agencies is very crucial. We need to work together in strengthening the preparedness of our country against the threat of disasters. Prevention and mitigation and preparedness should always come first.” dagdag pa nito.
