Kanselasyon ng passport ni ex-Rep. Arnie Teves hindi pa pinal – DOJ
Inamin ng Department of Justice (DOJ) na ang pagkansela ng passport ni dating Negros Oriental 3rd District Representative Arnolfo “Arnie” Teves Jr., ay hindi pa “final and executory.”
Ayon kay DOJ spokesperson Dominic Clavano IV hihintayon muna nila ang desisyon ng Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 51 sa ihahain na motion for reconsideration ng kampo ni Teves bago magsimula ang proseso sa pagkansela ng passport ng dating mambabatas.
Noong nakaraang Huwebes, kinansela ng korte ang passport ni Teves dahil sa mga seryosong akusasyon sa kanya, kasama na ang pagturing sa kanya na terorista.
Sabi pa ni Clavano, may 15 araw ang kampo ni Teves na maghain ng kanilang mga apila at ang korte pa rin ang magdedesisyon.
“On our part, that is something, that’s a bone of contention. In the decision, it was stated there that Teves’ personality would only be acknowledged once he presents himself before the court,” dagdag paliwanag pa ni Clavano.
Nahaharap na sa mga kasong murder, frustrated murder at attempted murder si Teves dahil sa pagpatay kay Negros Oriental Gov. Roel Degamo noong nakaraang Marso.
Bukod pa dito ang mga kaso kaugnay naman sa mga naganap na patayan sa kanilang lalawigan noong 2019.
Naglabas na ng arrest warrants ang korte para kay Teves sa mga naturang kaso.
