February rate hike ng Meralco kinuwestiyon ng ERC
Masyadong maaga para magtaas ng singil sa halaga ng kuryente ang Manila Electric Company (Meralco) ngayon buwan dahils sa pagtaas ng presyo ng mga produktong-petrolyo.
Ito ang paniniwala ni Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) Chairperson Monalisa Dimalanta.
Unang nag-anunsiyo ang Meralco na pagtaas ng P05738 per kilowatt hour sa presyo ng ipinamamahagi nilang kuryente ngayon buwan.
Mangangahukugan ito ng karagdagang P11.91 per kWh bayarin para sa konsyumer na nakakakonsumo ng hanggang 200 kWh kada buwan.
Ayon sa Meralco nadagdagan ng P1.4764 per kWh ang singil ng independent power producers (IPPs) dahil sa pag-angkat ng liquified petroleum gas.
