Suplay ng bigas, karne at itlog sapat sabi ng DA
Sa ngayon, ayon sa Department of Agriculture (DA), sapat ang suplay ng bigas at mga produktong karne sa bansa.
Sa briefing sa Malakanyang, sinabi ni Agriculture Usec. Roger Navarro, na nadagdagan ang produksyon sa bansa, bukod pa sa mga dumating na imported rice.
“Production remains sufficient for our National Rice Program. That’s great news; we can produce more locally and supplement with imports, but ultimately, it’s sufficient,” ani Navarro.
Sinabi din niya na mataas ang suplay ng mga produktong karne.
“Our pork meat is considered high, and we are still in communication with our stakeholders. We have a pricing and volume watch that we use once a month to monitor our supply condition,” ayon sa opisyal.
Patuloy din aniya ang kanilang pakikipag-ugnayan sa industriya para maabot ang seguridad sa pagkain sa Pilipinas.
Dagdag pa niya, maganda din ang lagay ng suplay ng poultry products.
Sabi pa ni Navarro sapat sa buong taon ang kanilang 189-day supply at ganito rin aniya sa sibuyas, asukal at isda.
