“Break up” ng Mindanao sa Pilipinas mabibigo – PBBM
Hindi magtatagumpay ang panawagan na paghiwalay ng Mindanao sa Republika ng Pilipinas, ayon kay Pangulong Marcos Jr.
Ito, sabi ng Punong Ehekutibo, ay dahil labag sa Saligang Batas ang paghiwalay ng anumang bahagi ng bansa.
“The new call for a separate Mindanao is doomed to fail for it is anchored on a false premise, not to mention a sheer constitutional travesty. It is a grave violation of our Constitution. Hindi ito ang Bagong Pilipinas na ating hinuhubog, bagkus ito ay pagwasak sa ating bansang Pilipinas,” sabi ni Pangulong Marcos Jr., sa paggunita ng Constitution Day sa Makati City.
Tiniyak din ni Pangulong Marcos Jr., na lalabanan ng kanyang administrasyon ang anumang pagtatangka na ihiwalay ang anumang bahagi ng bansa.
“The Constitution does not recognize the right to rebellion, while our criminal laws punish it. The government has sternly enforced these laws to the letter and spirit, and this administration will be no exception,” aniya.
Dagdag pa ni Pangulong Marcos Jr.: “We will continue to defend from any threats, external and internal. We will not allow even an iota of suggestion of its breaking apart.”
Si dating Pangulong Duterte ang unang nagpalutang ng paghiwalay ng Mindanao sa Pilipinas kasunod ay itinuro si dating House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez na may plano nito.
