Coast Guard pinalakas pa ang depensa sa website kasunod ng cyber attack

Naglatag ang  Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) ng karagdagang  cybersecurity measures para sa kanilang website kasunod ng naranasang cyber attack kamakailan.

Kasabay nito ipinag-utos ni PCG Commandant, Adm. Ronnie Gil Gavan ang pag-iimbestiga sa insidente kasunod na rin ng abiso mula sa Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) sa  website ng National Coast Watch System.

Inanunsiyo ng DICT na napigilan nila ang pag-atake sa kanilang website, bukod pa sa website ni  Pangulong Marcos Jr., at  Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).

Sa paunang impormasyon, ayon sa DICT, na base sa internet protocol (IP) address ang pag-atake ay nagmula sa China Unicorn, isang telecommunication company na pag-aari ng gobyerno ng China.

Hindi naman kinumpirma kung ang pag-atake ay may kinalaman sa agawan ng bahagi ng West Philippine Sea (WPS) sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at China.
