1.2-M pamilya graduate sa 4Ps ngayon 2024 – DSWD
Inaasahan ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) na ngayon taon 1.4 milyong pamilya na benepisaryo ng Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) ang maaalis sa listahan.
Ngunit sinabi ni Dir. Gemma Gabuya, ng 4Ps National Program Management Office (NPMO), kailangan pa rin ng suporta ng matatanggal na pamilya upang matiyak na magtutuloy ang pag-angat ng kanilang estado sa buhay.
“It is expected from us that by 2024, 1.2 million [households] will need to exit the program. So, that is the challenge for me now. There should really be programs to support them,” aniya.
Dagdag pa ni Gabuya na pinagtitibay nila ang pakikipag-ugnayan sa National Advisory Council at mga lokal na pamahalaan para sa suporta sa mga pamilya, lalo na sa pag-aaral ng mga batang miyembro.
“The grants do not address the need for capital to start a business or to help repair houses damaged by disasters. These are solely for the education of the children, nothing else,” dagdag pa ng opisyal.
