Pagdepensa ng Kamara kay Speaker Romualdez pagtitibayin sa resolusyon
Sa darating na Lunes, Enero 5, nakatakdang maghain ng resolusyon ang mga kongresista upang kondenahin ang mga alegasyon kay House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
Ayon kay House Majority Leader Mannix Dalipe, kokondenahin din sa resolusyon ang mga agresibong taktika ng mga senador, na lubhang nakakaapekto sa tiwala ng publiko sa lehislatura.
“We just had an all-member caucus because some members would like us to gather due to recent developments, including statements from the Senate. Many House members wish to express and gauge the sentiments of their colleagues,” ani Dalipe.
“As a result, a proposal has been put forward to file a House Resolution from this august chamber. The resolution is scheduled to be filed on Monday, and we will await its submission,” dagdag pa niya.
Sinabi naman ni Senior Deputy Speaker Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales Jr., ihahayag sa resolusyon ang pagkakaisa ng mga kongresista sa pagsuporta kay Romualdez.
Paninindigan din aniya nila ang integridad ng Kamara laban sa pag-atake ng Senado, paggiit sa “principle of inter-parliamentary courtesy” at pakikialam sa kanilang mga gawain bilang mambabatas.
