Pagbabalik ng dating school opening inaaral pa sabi ni DepEd Chief Sara
Sumasailalim pa sa konsultasyon ang pagbabalik sa lumang school calendar, ayon kay Vice President at Education Secretary Sara Duterte.
“On the reversion of the School Calendar, we have recently conducted a consultation in the Central Office with various teacher organizations, parent-teachers associations, student leaders and other relevant groups,” ani Duterte.
Ibinahagi ito ni Duterte sa taunang Basic Education Report (BER), na ginanap sa Hotel Sofitel sa Pasay City.
“Consultations on the ground – at the Regional and Division levels – are currently ongoing. We are awaiting the results of the consultation,” dagdag pa nito.
Una nang ibinahagi ng Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) at Teachers’ Dignity Coalition (TDC) na sumang-ayon na ang DepEd na ibalik ang pagsisimula ng mga klase tuwing buwan ng Hunyo.
Ang pagbabalik ng dating school calendar ay magsisimula sa pagtatapos ng School Year 2023 – 2024, na sinasabing magtatapos ng mas maaga sa halip na sa Hunyo at ang simula naman ng SY 2024-2025 ay sa Hulyo sa halip na sa Agosto.
Ayon sa dalawang grupo, sa SY 2025 – 2026 ay magsisimula na muli tuwing buwan ng Hunyo.
