Inaresto ng mga operatiba ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang dalawang Taiwanese sa isang bahay sa Makati City kamakailan.
Pakay ng operasyon ang 29-anyos na si Yuan B0-Chun, na wanted sa Taiwan dahil sa kasong human trafficking.
Ngunit sa pahayag ng kagawaran, inabutan din sa bahay, na nasa kanto ng Kalayaan at Mercado streets si Lin Jyun-Ze, 22, na naaktuhan na nagsasagawa ng “telecommunication fraud” at nakumpiskahan siya ng mga matataas na kalibre ng baril at droga.
Nabatid na hiniling ng Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) dito sa bansa ang pag-aresto kay Yuan, na dumating sa bansa noong Setyembre 2019 at hindi na bumalik ng Taiwan.
“Incidentally, in the course of the operation, the FSU operatives encountered inside Yuan’s residence a 22-year-old Taiwanese named Lin Jyun-Ze who was caught in flagrante or in the act of engaging in telecommunications fraud and possessing several high-powered firearms and illegal drugs,” ayon sa inilabas na pahayag ng Immigration Bureau.
