Speaker Romualdez sinabing handa na makipagtulungan sa Senado para sa Cha-cha

Iginiit ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez na makikipagtulungan siya sa Senado ukol sa Resolution of Both Houses (RHB) Number 6 na iniakda ni Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri.
Gagawin aniya ito bilang pagtalima sa kagustuhan ni Pangulong Marcos Jr. na magtulungan ang dalawang kapulungan para sa pag-unlad ng Pilipinas at ng mga Filipino.
“I’m ready to work with them hand in hand. We are ready to embrace the RHB, and I’m already telling everyone here that this is a welcome development if the House and the Senate can work together in unity,” aniya.Ang mga pahayag na ito ni Romualdez ay kaugnay sa inilabas na manifesto ng Senado na nagpapahayag ng kanilang pagtutol sa people’s iniative sa katuwiran na mawawalan sila ng boses kapag pinagbotohan na ang aamyendahang mga probisyon sa 1987 Constitution. Diin niya inirerespeto niya ang posisyon ng mga senador, gayundin ang karapatan ng taumbayan na ihayag ang kanilang mga nais na maamyendahang probisyon sa Saligang Batas sa pamamagitan ng people’s initiative. “That is also the right of the Senate, I respect always the opinion of others. I may not necessarily agree, but I respect the right,” dagdag pa nito. Aniya hinding-hindi niya papatulan ang mga pahayag at aksiyon na magreresulta lamang sa pagkakahati-hati ng lahat.
