PUV consolidation pinalawig ni PBBM hanggang Abril
Inaprubahan ni Pangulong Marcos Jr., ang rekomendasyon na palawigin hanggang sa huling araw ng darating na Abril ang consolidation ng mga pampublikong-sasakyan.
Inanunsiyo ito ni Communications Sec. Cheloy Garafil habang papalapit muli ang itinakdang deadline, sa Enero 31.
Aniya dahil sa extension may sapat pang panahon muli ang mga hindi pa nakakasunod sa “consolidation” para sa PUV Modernization Program.
“President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has approved Transport Secretary Jaime J. Bautista’s recommendation, granting an additional three months until April 30, 2024, for the consolidation of public utility vehicles,” sabi ni Garafil.
Ang pagpapalawig ay taliwas sa naunang pinandigan ng Punong Ehekutibo na hindi na palalawigin ang deadline dahil 70 porsiyento na ng operators ang nakasunod.
“This extension is to give an opportunity to those who expressed intention to consolidate but did not make the previous cut-off,” dagdag pa ng kalihim.
