Permiso ng Pilipinas kailangan ng ICC investigators – DOJ
Sinabi ng Department of Justice (DOJ) na kailangan ng permiso ng gobyerno para makapasok sa bansa ang mga imbestigador ng International Criminal Court (ICC).
“Prior consent and approval of relevant Departments, including the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), and the DOJ must be obtained before any foreign entities can conduct official activities within our territory,” sabi sa inilabas na pahayag ng DOJ.
Pagpupunto pa ng kagawaran dapat ay ayon sa Saligang Batas at mga batas ng bansa ang presensiya sa Pilipinas ng anumang pandaigdigang ahensiya.
Naglabas ang DOJ ng pahayag base sa ibinahagi ni dating Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV na nakapasok na sa bansa ang ICC investigators na ang pakay ay imbestigahan ang mga naganap na pagpatay sa ikinasang “war on drugs” ng administrasyong-Duterte.
“As of today, the DOJ has not received any official communication or confirmation regarding the presence of the ICC within the country,” pahayag pa ng DOJ.
Naninidigan pa ang kagawaran na hindi pa rin nagbabago ang posisyon ng gobyerno ukol sa ICC.
