Pagpapalaya sa 18 Pinoy seafarers inilapit sa Iran VP
Hiniling ni Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo ang pagpapalaya sa 18 Filipino seafarers na sakay ng isang tanker sa Gulf of Oman.
Nakausap ni Manalo si Iran 1st Vice President Mohammed Makber sa Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit sa Uganda.
Nabatid na si Makber ay isa sa 12 bise presidente ng Iran at siya namumuno sa mga pagpupulong ng kanilang gabinete.
“I likewise asked for the release of the 18 PH seafarers currently aboard the detained ST Nikolas, and requested that Iran continue to grant consular access to our Embassy in Tehran, and allow regular contact between the seafarers and their families back home,” ang tweet ni Manalo.
