Bilateral relations ng Pilipinas, Brazil palalakasin ni Pangulong Marcos Jr.

Inanunsiyo ni Pangulong Marcos Jr. na nais niyang mapalakas pa ang ugnayan ng Pilipinas at Brazil.

Sinabi niya sa  sa presentation of credentials ng bagong talagang Brazilian Ambassador-designate na si Gilberto Fonseca Guimarães de Moura sa ]Malakanyang.

Ayon kay Pangulong Marcos Jr., isa ang Brazil sa pinakamahalagang partner ng Pilipinas pagdating sa technical cooperation, agriculture, trade at investment, defense, at environmental protection mula nang maitatag ang diplomatic relations ng dalawang bansa noong 1946.

Sinuportahan din ni Pangulong Marcos Jr.,  ang hosting ng Brazil sa 30th Session of the Conference of the Parties (COP30) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) sa 2025.

“Brazil is a powerful voice in marshaling collective action towards the protection of the environment and addressing the effects of climate change, which is the foremost existential threat to our species today. We look forward to your hosting of the 30th Session of the Conference of the Parties (COP30) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in 2025,” pahayag ng Punong Ehekutibo.

“I wish you an enjoyable and fulfilling stay here in our country and I hope you will experience the warm hospitality of the Filipino people,” sabi ng Pangulong Marcos Jr., kay  de Moura.
