Sinabi ni Senator Nancy Binay na kahit may pangangailangan ng suriin hindi dapat madaliiin ang pag-amyenda sa Saligang Batas ng bansa.
At kung ito ay pag-aaralan dapat at matuon lang sa mga probisyong pang-ekonomiya.
“Given the economic drive to establish a stronger platform for investments and national development, siguro, as a starting point the Senate can task the sub-committee to provide a forum to a healthy and sensible debate on whether or not there’s a need to amend the Constitution,” aniya.
Dagdag pa ni Binay, para sa kanya mali na isulong ang Charter change ng hindi nagsasagawa ng konsultasyon sa publiko at limitado lamang sa “economic agenda.”
Dapat aniy ay pakinggan ang posisyon ng lahat ng mga sektor ng lipunan.
Ayon pa sa senadora magdudulot-dulot lamang ng pagkahati-hati sa bansa ang mga pagtatangka na haluan ng pulitika ang pag-amyenda sa Konstitusyon.
