Employment visas pinalilimitahan sa SEC-registered corporations, businesses

Ipinag-utos ni Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla  sa Bureau of Immigration (BI) na limitahan ang pagbibigay ng  employment visas sa mga korporasyon na nakarehistro sa Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Ayon sa kalihim inilabas niya ang direktiba dahil sa pagkalat ng visa sa mga pekeng korporasyon at negosyo.

“As a matter of policy,  I’m asking the BI not to grant anymore visas to sole proprietorships but only to corporations that have the stamp of approval of the SEC,” dagdag ni Remulla.

Nadiskubre aniya nila na maraming pekeng korporasyon ang nabigyan ng 9G visa.

“We’re talking about more than 500 corporations and thousands and thousands of visas issued with the petitions of these corporations which have been presumed validated by the legal department and the visa issuing authority of the BI,” sabi pa nito.

Pagbabahagi din ni Remulla na marami sa mga visa ay ginamit para sa mga  Philippine Offhsore Gaming Operators (POGOs).

Aniya ito ay pang-iinsulto sa sobereniya ng bansa.
