Maaring maningil ng P30 – P40 pinakamababang pamasahe sa modern jeepney.
Ito ang sinabi ni 1-Rider Party-list Rep. Bonifacio Bosita para mabayaran ng kooperatiba ang utang sa pagkuha ng modern jeepney.
Dumalo si Bosita sa pagdinig ng House Committee on Transportation ukol sa public utility vehicle (PUV) modernization program kanina sa Kamara.
Iprinisinta ni Bosita sa pagdinig ang payment plan ng Landbank of the Philippines para sa P2.8 milyong halaga ng modern jeepney.
Ang pautang ay may anim na porsiyentong interes kada taon at maaring bayaran ng hanggang pitong taon.
“Ang monthly na dapat na ma-raise ng kooperatiba per unit is more than P40,000 or P1,800 or more per day. Hindi pa po kasama dyan yung fuel, facilities, cooperative management, maintenance, and other mandatory expenses,” ani Bosita.
Kaharap ng mambabatas ang mga dumalong opisyal ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) at Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
