‘New wave’ ng COVID-19 cases, fake news – DOH

METRO MANILA, Philippines —Pinasinungalingan ng  Department of Health (DOH) ang kumakalat na online posts ukol sa sinasabing “new wave” ng COVID-19 cases sa Metro Manila.

Sa inilabás na pahayág ng kagawarán, nabanggít na ang malíng impormasyón ay iniuugnáy sa isáng Dr. Ruth Divinagracia ng St. Luke’s Medical Center.

“There is no credible evidence or official announcement from health authorities supporting the assertion of a surge in COVID-19 cases at the mentioned hospital,” idiniín ng DOH.

Hinikayat ng kagawarán ang publiko na paniwalaan lamang ang mga impormasyón mula sa “reputable sources” tulad ng DOH at ibá pang official health organizations.

Idiniín nitó na nakakapagdulot ng panic at matindíng pangambá ang mga malíng impormasyón.

Nagbabalâ din ang DOH na maaaríng makasuhan ang mga magpapakalat ng mga malíng impormasyón.
