Pinasinungalingan ng Department of Health (DOH) ang kumakalat na online posts ukol sa sinasabing “new wave” ng COVID 19 cases sa Metro Manila.
Sa inilabas na pahayag ng kagawaran, nabanggit na ang maling impormasyon ay iniuugnay sa isang Dr. Ruth Divinagracia ng St. Luke’s Medical Center.
“There is no credible evidence or official announcement from health authorities supporting the assertion of a surge in Covid-19 cases at the mentioned hospital,” diin ng DOH.
Hinikayat ng kagawaran ang publiko na paniwalaan lamang ang mga impormasyon mula sa “reputable sources” tulad ng DOH at iba pang official health organizations.
Diin nito, nakakapagdulot ng panic at matinding pangamba ang mga maling impormasyon.
Babala din na maaring makasuhan ang mga magpapakalat ng mga maling impormasyon.
