Poe patuloy na itutulak pagbuo sa Water Department
Sinabi ni Senator Grace Poe na patuloy niyang isusulong ang panukalang pagbuo ng Department of Water Resources (DWR) para magkaroon ng komprehensibong pangangsiwa sa water resources sa bansa.
Kailangan aniya ito dahil sa tumataas na pangangailangan sa tubig bunga ng paglobo ng populasyon at dumadaming aktibidad.
“The preparations of our water regulator and concessionaires during the dry months should be complemented by proper policies in place to spare our people from the brunt of the perennial water crisis,” aniya.
Kasabay nito, ikinalugod ng namumuno sa Senate Committee on Public Services ang pagtitiyak ng MWSS na pinaghandaan nito ang husto ang maaring ibunga ng El Nino.
Aniya magandang balita ito sa mga konsyumer na nagsa-sakripisyo ng husto kapag kapos ang suplay ng tubig dahil sa konting ulan.
“Mahalaga na laging may dumadaloy na malinis na tubig sa bawat tahanan. Sana naman hindi na ito kailangan pilahan ng ating mga kababayan kapag may El Nino,” sabi pa ni Poe.
