PPA inaasahan ang pagdagsa ng 5.1-M pasahero ngayon Kapaskuhan
Simula sa Sabado, Disyembre 16, inaasahan na dadagsa na ang mga pasahero sa maraming puerto sa bansa para magbakasyon at magpalipas ng Kapaskuhan sa kani-kanilang probinsiya.
Ito ang sinabi ni Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) Gen. Manager Jay Santiago at aniya naghahanda na sila sa pagbibigay serbisyo sa may 5.1 milyong pasahero.
Noong nakaraang taon, sa pagluwag ng travel restrictions, 4.7 milyong pasahero ang naitala ng PPA.
“We have already intensified the security measures in all our ports and implemented various ways to ensure fast and comfortable travel for our kababayan,” ani Santiago.
Ang Port of Batangas sa Batangas City ang may pinakamalaking bilang ng mga pasahero sa 17,000 hanggang 20,000 kada araw.
Mataas din ang bilang ng mga pasahero sa Panay/Guimaras, Mindoro, Negros Occidental/Bacolod/Banago/BREDCO, Negros Oriental / Siquijor
Aside from the Port of Batangas, other ports with high passenger traffic during long weekends are the Port Management Office (PMO) Panay/ Guimaras, Mindoro, Negros Occidental/ Bacolod/ Banago/ BREDCO, Negros Oriental/ Siquijor.
Una nang inilagay sa red alert status ang lahat ng mga tauhan ng PPA dahil sa Mindanao State University (MSU) bombing.
