Hindi na palalawigin pa ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang deadline ng consolidation ng public utility vehicles para sa jeepney modernization program.
Itinakda ng Department of Transportation sa Disyembre 31, 2023 ang deadline ng consolidation
Ayon sa Pangulo, 70 porsyento na ng mga operator sa bansa ang nangako na makikiisa sa consolidation ng mga prangkisa para sa Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP).
“We cannot let the minority cause further delays, affecting majority of our operators, banks, financial institutions, and the public at large,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
“Adhering to the current timeline ensures that everyone can reap the benefits of the full operationalization of our modernized public,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
Muling magsasagawa ng tigil pasada ang grupong Piston bukas, Disyembre 13 hanggang 14 para tutulan ang PUV consolidation.
Iginigiit ng Piston na maraming jeep ang mawawalan ng prangkisa kapag ipinatupad ang PUV consolidation.
