DFA ipinatawag si Chinese Ambassador Huang, diplomatic protest inihain

Ipinatawag ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) si Chinese Ambassador Huang Xilian kaugnay sa panibagong insidente sa West Philippine Sea (WPS).

Kasabay nito ang paghahain ng diplomatic protest sa Chinese Foreign Ministry.

Sinabi ni DFA spokesperson Ma. Teresita Daza patuloy naman ang paghahanap ng diplomatikong pamamaraan para mapangalagaan ang integridad, karapatan, at sobereniya ng Pilipinas kaugnay sa teritoryo ng Pilipinas.

“We lodged the diplomatic protest with the Chinese foreign ministry counterpart through a phone call,” ani Daza.

Ang protesta ay nag-ugat sa paggamit ng water cannon  ng Chinese Coast Guard sa civilian supply vessels ng Pilipinas sa karagatan ng Ayungin Shoal at Bajo de Masinloc, kapwa nasa loob ng exclusive economic zone (EEZ) ng bansa.

Samantala, si Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri nais na mapalayas na ng bansa si Huang sa katuwiran na wala naman nagagawa ang huli sa patuloy na pag-atake ng puwersa ng China sa  resupply vessels ng Pilipinas.

“I urge President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. to send the current Chinese Ambassador home. He has done nothing to address the continued attacks of his government on our troops and on our people,” ani Zubiri.
