Christmas convoy sa West Philippine Sea, pinayagan na ng NSC
Pinayagan na ng National Security Council (NSC) ang Atin Ito Coalition na makapagsagawa ng Christmas convoy sa West Philippine Sea at dumaan sa general vicinity ng Ayungin Shoal.
Ayon kay NSC spokesperson Jonathan Malaya, hindi naman advisable na magtungo ang grupo ng mga sibilyan sa BRP Sierra Madre.
“The planned Christmas convoy will pass through the general vicinity of Ayungin Shoal as far as practicable, on its way to other selected PH-occupied features to bring Christmas cheer directly to our troops assigned to those areas as well as to our fisherfolks,” pahayag ni Malaya.
Una nang pinagbawalan ng NSC ang grupo na magtungo sa BRP Sierra Madre dahil sa mataas na tensyon sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at China.
Payo ni Malaya, dalhin na lamang ang mga regalo sa kanilang tanggapan at sila na ang bahala na magdala sa mga sundalo sa BRP Sierra Madre.
