Tinalo ng University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons ang Ateneo de Manila Blue Eagles sa UAAP Men’s Basketball Final Four sa Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City sa iskor na 57-46.
Ito na ang ikatlong straight season na nakapasok ang UP sa finals.
Nanalo ang UP matapos kumamada ng 12 puntos, 16 na rebounds at tatlong steals si Maloick Diouf habang tig 12 puntos ang idinagdag nina Francis Lopez at Janjan Felicilda.
Ito na ang ikaapat na beses na nakapasok ang UP sa finals sa huling limang seasons.
Makakaharap ng UP sa final ang De La Salle Green Archers at National University Bulldogs.
Ito naman ang unang pagkakataon na na-dethrone ng Fighting Maroons ang defending champions na Blue Eagles.
