SC: Dating PCGG chairperson Sabio guilty sa grave misconduct
Pinagtibay ng Supreme Court ang desisyon ng Court of Appeals na guilty sa kasong grave misconduct at conduct prejudicial to the best of interest of the service si dating Presidential Commission on Good Government chairperson Camilo Sabio.
Base sa 18 pahinang desisyon ng SC, guilty si Sabio dahil sa pagtatangkang impluwensyahan ang kanyang kapatid na noon ay isang mahistrado sa CA na pumanig sa Government Insurance System (GSIS) kontra sa Manila Electric Company (Meralco).
Ibinasura rin ng SC ang hirit ni Sabio na petition for review on certiorari.
Pinakakansela rin ng SC ang civil service eligibility ni Sabio pati na ang pagbawi sa lahat ng retirement benefits.
Pinagbabawal na rin si SC ng re-employment sa alin mang tanggapan ng gobyerno.
