Finance Department tuloy-tuloy ang alalay sa LGUS para sa climate programs
Pinaiigting pa ng Department of Finance (DOF) ang pagbibigay ng suporta sa mga lokal na pamahalaan sa usapin ng “climate financing.”
“The DoF stands ready to assist LGUs in the realization of their climate projects, thus advancing the Philippines’ climate agenda as envisioned in the President’s 8-Point Socioeconomic Agenda of establishing livable and sustainable communities,” ani Finance Sec. Benjamin E. Diokno.
Gumagawa na ang kagawaran ng mga istratehiya at hakbang para mas mapagtibay pa ng LGUs ang kanilang mga proyekto at programa.
Hanggang sa kasalukuyan, 11 climate adaptation projects at anim na project development grants na nagkakahalaga ng P889.6 milyon ang inaprubahan ng DOF.
Nagsisilbi ang kalihim ng DOF na chairman ng People’sm Survival Fund Board.
Tumutulong din ang Bureau of Local Government Finance sa pagpa-plano ng LGUs sa climate-related projects sa usapin ng pagpopondo.
