NGCP: Hindi kami dapat sisihin, parusahan!

Naninindigan ang National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) na ang lahat ng kanilang kinikita at gastusin ay alinsunod sa inaprubahan ng Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC).

Dagdag pa ng NGCP, ang iba pang gastusin na binanggita nina Sens. Sherwin Gatchalian at Risa Hontiveros ay pinapayagan ng ERC bilang “recoverable expenses.”

Ang “corporate social responsibility” ay ipinasama sa operational expenses.

” The failure to issue a final determination prior to the beginning of the 4th and 5th regulatory periods, in keeping with the proper regulatory framework NGCP stepped into, is not attributable to NGCP. Given that no timely regulatory reset process was conducted by the regulator, NGCP had no choice but to apply the last rules approved by the ERC (3rd regulatory period) and ask for an interim revenue scheme,” pahayag ng NGCP.

Pagdidiin pa ng korporasyon, hindi dapat sila ang parusahan sa mga bagay na wala naman silang kinalaman.

Hirit pa ng NGCP dapat ay kilalanin ang mga hakbang na kanilang ginawa na pumabor pa sa mga konsyumer gaya na lamang ng 23.2 porsiyentong kabawasan  sa transmission rates, gayundin ang patuloy na pagpapabuti ng kanilang serbisyo.

Ipinaliwanag din na ang transmission charges ay 3.5 porsiyento lamang ng buwanang singil sa konsumo sa kuryente.

Hindi din dapat anila sila sinisi sa mga naideklarang “red alerts” sa usapin ng suplay ng kuryente dahil 96 porsiyento sa mga ito ay dahil sa emergency shutdowns ng mga planta na hindi din nila hawak.
