P57.79 bilyong pondo para sa hudikatura, inilaan ng DBM
Naglaan ang Department of Budget and Management ng P57.79 bilyong pondo para sa sangay ng hudikatura para sa susunod na taon.
Ayon kay Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, nakapaloob ang naturang pondo sa 2024 national budget.
Sabi ni Pangandaman, mas mataas ito ng P2.88 bilyon kumpara sa kasalukuyang budget na P54.91 bilyon.
Ayon kay Pangandaman, pagtupad ito sa pagsisikap ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. na maging mahusay at maasahan ang pangangasiwa sa sangay ng hudikatura.
“The recommended level for the Judiciary represents 1.0020 percent of the total government expenditure program to fast-track the much-needed reforms in the administration of justice as envisioned by the Judiciary, Executive, and Legislative Advisory and Consultative Council (JELACC),” pahayag ni Pangandaman.
Naka-angkla sa temang “Agenda for Prosperity: Securing a Future-Proof and Sustainable Economy,” ang pinapaaprubahang Fiscal Year 2024 national budget na nagkakahalagang P5.768 trilyon.
Mula sa nasabing halaga, P27.65 bilyon ang inilaan para sa Adjudication Program ng Supreme Court of the Philippines and the Lower Courts (SCPLC), Sandiganbayan, Court of Appeals (CA), at Court of Tax Appeals (CTA).
Patuloy ding ipatutupad ng Hudikatura ang Justice System Infrastructure Program (JUSIP), na susuportahan ng P4.19 bilyong alokasyon sa capital outlays para sa konstruksyon, pagkukumpuni, at rehabilitasyon ng mga Hall of Justice sa buong bansa.
Maliban dito, mayroon ding P1.442 bilyon na nakalaan para sa mga kinakailangan sa ICT tulad ng Cybersecurity solutions, pag-renew ng security applications ng SC, pagpapabuti ng koneksyon at mga server ng data, at pagbuo ng mga e-Filing at e-Service Module sa ilalim ng Justice Sector Convergence Program.
Itinaas naman sa P720.956 milyon ang pondo para sa computerized bar examinations. Mas mataas ito kumpara sa kasalukuyang budget na P510 milyon.
Nasa P100 milyon naman ang inilaan para sa Special Shari’ah bar examinations.
