AFP itinangging may destab plot laban kay Pangulong Marcos
Walang destabilization plot sa hanay ng Armed Forces of the Philippines.
Taliwas ito sa naging pahayag ni AFP chief of Staff Romeo Brawner na mayroong mga retiradong sundalo na nanghihikayat sa mga aktibong sundalo na maglunsad ng kudeta laban sa administrasyon ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
Ayon kay AFP spokesman Colonel Medel Aguilar, misquoted si Brawner.
“General Romeo S. Brawner Jr., the Chief of Staff, AFP, was simply misquoted. In his message to the troops during the change of command ceremony of the Western Mindanao Command yesterday, November 3, 2023, he merely mentioned the reported efforts by certain individuals to upset the peace and stability thet the country is enjoying right not under the leadership of Presdeint Ferdinand Marcos,” pahayag ni Medel.
“Therefrom, General Brawner again reminded all AFP personnel to remain professional and loyal to their oath to protect the people and the State,” pahayag ni Aguilar.
Una nang hinikayat ni Brawner ang mga sundalo na manatiling tapat sa tungkulin.
