Transport sector nakaalerto na para sa Undas at BSKE
Inatasan ni Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista ang lahat ng line agencies nito na paigtingin pa ang paghahanda para saa kaligtasan ng mga pasahero sa Undas at Barangay at Sangguniang Kabataan elections.
Partikular na inatasan ni Bautista ang aviation, railway, maritime at road sectors nag awing calibrated ang preparasyon para maging komportable ang biyahe ng mga pasahero.
“All transport sectors and attached agencies have been instructed to provide assistance to all passengers this Undas season. The DOTr’s lines of communications are also available to address passenger concerns,” pahayag ni Bautista.
Pinadagdagan ni Bautista ang deployment ng mga personnel sa mga airports, rail lines, seaports at mga kalsada.
Una nang hiniling ng Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) ang dagdag na deployment ng personnel mula sa mga airline stakeholders.
Magpapakalat din ng dagdag na personnel ang Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) para matulungan ang mga pasahero sa pamamagitan ng Oplan Help desks.
Sa panig ng Office for Transportation Security (OTS), pinaigting n anito ang security measures sa lahat ng airports, seaports, bus terminals at rail stations.
Regular naman ang operating hours ng Philippine National Railways (PNR), LRT-1 at LRT-2, at MRT-3.
Naka-heightened alert status na ang Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) habang ang Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) at Land Transportation Office (LTO) ay magdi-deploy ng personnel sa Integrated Terminal Exchanges (ITX), terminals at mga pangunahing kalsada.
